The Electrical Engineer will work closely with Senior Systems and Software engineers and will own hardware development of subsystems from inception to deployment.     Required:

    Required:

These engineers work closely with avionics, electric propulsion, structural, aerodynamics, and controls engineers to support testing of sub and full-scale aircraft, and their subsystems. Additional responsibilities include test plan and test card writing, data analysis and documentation, on-aircraft troubleshooting of electrical, mechanical, and software issues, and real-time monitoring of data during flight tests. They also design, build, and operate test setups to support developmental and qualification testing of subsystems. 

    Required:

          • Bachelor's or advanced degree in applicable engineering field, or equivalent
          • 5+ years experience manned flight testing, preferably in a prototyping environment (Sr. role only)
          • Proficiency in data analysis with MATLAB, Python, or other scripting tools

          • Hands-on project experience

          • Ability to work closely with engineers and other test personnel to design and execute complex tests on fast-paced schedules

      We are seeking a Senior Structural Analyst to design, evaluate, and test composite primary structural components for small aircraft.  The candidate will work closely with structural designers and will be responsible for verifying structural design integrity and performance using high fidelity finite element simulations. Additionally, he or she will be expected to support laboratory testing of materials, critical components, and full scale static and dynamic testing of aircraft structures and fan blade systems.

      Responsibilities:

      The candidate must be able to work independently to model components and assemblies using Altair Hypermesh finite element software and verify desired performance given specified inputs.  Experience should include analysis of sandwich and discretely-stiffened composite structures, metallic parts, bonded assemblies, and bolted interfaces.  The candidate should be skilled at performing classical hand calculations for both metallic and composite structures and have expertise in both the theory and practical application of finite element analysis. Comprehensive knowledge of composite part manufacturing and its interplay with structural modeling would be helpful.  The candidate will support designers providing recommendations regarding cost and mass reduction strategies as well as designing for testing and in service inspection.  

      Required:

            • 5 years of experience performing linear, nonlinear, buckling (linear, nonlinear, post-buckling), static, and dynamic analyses

            • MS in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field

            • Strong knowledge of engineering mechanics

            • Ability to use finite element methods to predict deflections, natural frequencies, internal loads, stresses, and strains
