    We are looking for a Buyer/Inventory Specialist to help develop and manage the purchasing and inventory control operations of production. You will assist with documenting and vetting processes and integrating best practices into our ERP implementation - all from a clean slate. You are very “hands-on,” and want a position with strong growth potential.    

    Responsibilities:

          • Order and issue materials, supplies, and equipment for production activities
          • Coordinate and expedite purchases
          • Utilize the inventory system to properly account for issues, returns, receipts of new materials and associated back orders
          • Manage and control material inventory
          • Work with vendors on order discrepancies, damaged items, returns, and backorder items
          • Organize and maintain warehouse and inventory areas for efficient material storage, handling, and accuracy
          • Receive delivered supplies, materials, and equipment; confirm that delivered goods match purchase order specifications and distribute materials to proper location
          • Assist in the development and documentation of processes and procedures for purchasing, inventory management, and material scheduling
          • Assist with implementing and integrating an ERP/MRP system

    Required:

          • At least three years of procurement and inventory management experience
          • Previous experience with ERP systems
          • Working knowledge of inventory control and purchasing practices
          • Ability to work with suppliers to handle buyer responsibilities such as requests for quote, order acknowledgement, open order status, delivery tracking and order expediting
          • Detail-oriented
          • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
          • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds on a regular basis
          • Ability to climb ladders and stairs

    Desired:

          • Degree or Certification in logistics and supply chain, or any other related field preferred
          • Experience with Google Docs/Sheets

    Required:

          • Minimum 3 years industry experience, with at least a portion in an R&D environment

  • Electronics Technician

    We are currently seeking a technician with experience assembling, integrating, and testing electrical, electronic, and avionics systems. You have extensive PCB soldering experience, and will work on components such as flight computers, control systems, PCBs, power electronics, DC/DC converters, >100kW inverters, wire harnesses, test fixtures, analog electronics boards, etc. Additionally, you must be able to build, install, troubleshoot, and maintain electrical assemblies using industry standard methods, while maintaining records and logs.



    Required:

          • Strong PCB soldering, cable assembly, and mechanical assembly skills
          • Strong rework experience in micro-soldering and desoldering small SMT component packages such as QFP, QFN, small SMT Resistors and Capacitors such as 0603, 0402 etc.
          • Five or more years experience as a technician assembling electromechanical mechanisms and/or power electronic assemblies
          • Working knowledge of basic electronics
          • Must be able to work from procedures and drawings with minimal guidance
          • Understanding and use of basic electronics tools (Oscilloscope, DMM, crimpers, basic shop equipment, etc)
          • Strong background in troubleshooting and repair of wiring and systems
          • Able to select and manage parts from a BOM, assemble boards and test
          • Good communication, problem solving and organizational skills
          • Working knowledge of basic computer applications

    Desired:

          • IPC-A-610 certification
          • J-STD-001 certification
          • Electronics Associate degree, military training or above
          • Experience with electromechanical systems and sensors (servos, motors, shaft encoders)
          • Experience with Altium Designer or equivalent schematic/drawing tools
          • Avionics experience

Your core responsibilities will include implementation and management of manufacturing execution systems, process development and improvement, design and development of manufacturing tooling and equipment, and assistance in DFM processes for improved quality and costs. Your additional subtasks will include part-sourcing, and hands-on assembly of parts. You will also participate in manufacturability assessments. You have extensive experience with a wide variety of assembly and manufacturing processes, automation of processes, cost analysis for outsourcing of processes, and paperless workflow systems.

    Responsibilities:

          • Work with technicians and design engineers to develop manufacturing processes, tooling, procedures, quality control points, inspection plans, etc.
          • Efficiently incorporate design changes into manufacturing plans and procedures
          • Improve manufacturing processes by studying product requirements; researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment
          • Purchase and implement new manufacturing equipment
          • Assist with make-vs-buy analysis
          • Assist with implementation and management of PLM, MES and ERP systems
          • Keeps equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and repair services

    Required:

          • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering or similar
          • 5 years of experience as a manufacturing engineer in a production environment, preferably in a high-volume operation and/or aerospace
          • Comfortable creating new solutions to problems, as opposed to, applying tried methods
          • Familiarity with a wide variety of electronic and electromechanical technologies
          • Experience working with other engineers to improve the manufacturability of a product (Design for Manufacturing) while controlling cost and weight
          • Proficient in the fundamentals of industrial engineering, including capacity models, technical writing, time studies, and labor cost forecasting

    Desired:

          • Six Sigma or LEAN manufacturing experience/certification
          • Experience working with PLM and MES
          • Experience using Teamcenter MPP

    We are seeking a Systems Test Engineer to join our Subsystems Group. We design, analyze, manufacture and test avionics, electric motors, power electronics, batteries and other subsystems for unconventional aircraft.  The candidate will participate in system concept development through delivery of hardware to aircraft integration, and will be responsible for developing all test plans and procedure to validate performance.  These tests would include both acceptance testing of every unit, as well as qualification testing to validate the design in a variety of environmental conditions.

    Responsibilities:

          • Design, develop, and validate environmental test procedures
          • Work with external and in-house test labs to lead and/or conduct testing activities
          • Record & analyze data collected during testing, document results and issues found
          • Work with responsible engineers to fix problems
          • Design and integrate test fixtures, test setups, data acquisition systems, etc.

    Required:

          • BS in Mechanical, Aerospace, or related engineering degree
          • Minimum four years of experience in hardware development or testing
          • Familiarity with aerospace development best practices and standards
          • Experience writing and executing test procedures for design validation and qualification
          • Extensive experience in operating data acquisition systems for data collection of thermocouples, accelerometers, strain gauges, pressure sensors, load cells, LVDT, etc.
          • Ability to post process and analyze data to validate system performance
          • Strong interpersonal and communication skills are an absolute requirement
