    Required

You will be responsible for working with electrical engineers and software engineers to design and develop hardware-in-the-loop test environments for flight hardware.     Required:

We design, analyze, manufacture and test composite structures for unconventional piloted aircraft.  The candidate will perform mechanical setup of the test, execute the test by following procedures, collect data, and document results.  These tests would include both acceptance testing of every unit, as well as qualification testing to validate the design.  In addition, the candidate will help perform material and process testing of composite samples, including the operation of a mechanical test frame and the fabrication of sample coupons.

    Required:

          • Experience in structural testing.
          • Strong mechanical foundation and aptitude.
          • Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
          • Experience following test procedures for design validation and qualification.

          • Record & analyze data collected during testing, document results and issues found

          • BSME degree with at least four years of experience in testing
          • Familiarity with aerospace development best practices and standards
          • Experience writing and executing test procedures for design validation and qualification

    Responsibilities:

          • Study parts, blueprints, drawings, and engineering information to determine manufacturing methods and sequences to manufacture products
          • Responsible for setting up, operating and programming CNC Mills and CNC Lathes as well as occasional manual machine operations 
          • Support metalwork projects from planning, programming, machining, and fabrication through assembly and test
          • Machine precision fixtures to support part manufacture and assembly
          • Set up machines to precise tolerances and operate various types of machines following established procedures

    Requirements:

          • High school diploma or equivalent
          • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings with GD&T
          • At least 5 yrs of experience in set-up, operation, and programming of CNC Mills and Lathes
          • Familiarity and competence with Solidworks
          • Ability to machine/fabricate parts from hand sketches as well as CAD/drawings
          • Must have experience with complex, tight tolerance parts
          • Ability to work independently and in a team setting
          • Knowledge of operation of typical machine tools including lathes, mills, drill presses, bandsaws and other related equipment
          • Must have experience machining aerospace materials including aluminum alloys, titanium alloys, high strength stainless steels, etc.  
          • Experience with inspection techniques and measurement tools.
